Well I guess here goes for my first post and have to say have allot to learn.
But am looking forwards to doing so.
I explored alone on this one which I found great fun yet unnerving if I’m honest.
Grayling well was the psychiatric hospital for the western end of west Sussex.
It was designed by architect Sir Arthur Bloomfield and opened in 1897
Its History is well documented
Over the years, huge advances in the care of patients with mental problems led to the closure of the old asylums and the widespread controversial use of the care in the community.
It closed in 2001 and planning permission was granted to build 750 homes and related commercial and community facilities. Which is now in full swing?
Now with my clothes in tatter and black and blue I honestly couldn’t have been happier.
