few weeks back now did my nightshift then thought ah what the heck who needs sleep so met up with some buddies and we trecked up to the grim north and picked up a tourguide mooched round to the Synagogue and infiltrated it before sunrise. i was itching and started taking rubbish pics in the pitch black until giving up and waiting for the sunrise, real glad we went early caught the morning sun and beat the tourbus as we had it to ourselves for a short while

Greenbank synagogue was built in 1936 to a design by architect Alfred Ernest Shennan and consecrated on August 15,1937. It became a refuge for homeless families in the Blitz. This historic city synagogue which closed after 70 years has been saved for future generations.

visited with MD, goldie87 & WIMR and the 10 other we bumped into before leaving!!! good to put faces to names etc :thumb
