This report is a composite of pictures from our first and last visit here. We missed a few things last time and decided a re-visit was in order.
The construction of Ouvrage Mont des Welches was began in 1930 with the fort becoming operational in 1935, the fort successfully held off a German attack in June 1940. Ouvrage Mont des Welches was renovated to some degree in the 1950's and decommissioned in the 1970's.
