I visited a neighbourhood property the other week without realising this was within a five minute walk so returned at the weekend.
Super easy location situated on a rather busy road junction on either side. The house is absolutely wrecked by a fire with no top floor to speak of, i didn’t go up the stairs in the living area for safety’s sake.
I was aware there was a log cabin hidden away in the garden and that was why i primarily visited. The cabin is pretty much in one piece but has sadly been trashed inside. A few cool items are in there though, old car radios, the skeleton of a phone and the old hoover. There’s a bar area at the back with lonely stools waiting forever for someone to sit.
The house would have been massive pre fire, a large living space and kitchen that has been taken over by nature, the seat of the fire was in the furthest part of the house where everything is charred and burnt including the burnt out staircase to nowhere.
As usual i discovered the safe, i’m surprised just how many houses have them, but i was rather confused that there is a secondary safe on the wall in the bathroom.
History-
There is zero history of the house and not even a news report of the fire, the only one i found was regarding the property nearby. however, i struck lucky with google and discovered this place was actually used as a bed and breakfast. Sadly all the listing said was :
”Grove Gardens is set in 3 acres of natural woodland gardens, in the village of Warfield, one mile from Bracknell Town Centre. The chalet bungalow retains the atmosphere of a family home. The residents lounge is comfortably appointed together with tastefully decorated bedrooms”
