History:

Grove Street Primary School was built in 1901. The school closed it's doors around 1981 then reopened as an Adult Learning Centre alongside Barnsley Music Association (pads). The two later relocated to Barnsley Civic hall and the former school has stood still in time since 2013. The building is looking into being demolished to make way for a complex of new build houses by the local council and has survived a fire in 2014.
Visit:

Small but excellent this one. some great little artefacts left behind, a couple of dodgy floors on ground level that look to drop into cellar area. Even though there is fire damage on ground floor, the 1st floor is surprisingly solid and full of cool surprises up there. A good little hour walk round for any explorer that's not yet been. ohhh, I guess we dropped lucky other morning, it was very quiet. did you manage a look around or saving it for later?
I couldn't tell if they were actually in the adjacent building but their vans were parked between the two. I left it but may have another look.

Looked in earlier this year but there was no access to the upper floors at the time.
