The building as seen here was finished in 1876 however the history of it dates back to at least 1819 when it became part of the Plas Hen estate.
In more modern times it was sold off in 1959 when the estate was broken up. It then served time as both a hospital and hotel before the intresting modern history of it began.
From chatting to one of the neighbours who had lived there for donkeys years it appears that the building was gutted by a fire circa 1982 a few months after the building was bought by somebody with the view of restoring it.
There has been a long running campaign by numerous conservationist to find the owner due to a local persons desire to restore it to its former glory with a hard to trace offshore company and a mysterious Canadian all being put forward as the owners.
An intrepid squatter moved in a few years ago to attempt to restore the place however it hard to see how much good he actually did until he was moved on after what the neighbour described as an incident involving a shotgun as well as a court appearance from the mysterious Canadian.

Most of interior destroyed however plenty of old junk piled up in surviving rooms

Some old school electronic equipment

Loads of old vehicles and machinery abandoned outside

More photos on here if anybody intrested

Ps. Apologises for the oversized images but after hours of trying even though i have resized the images on photobucket they insist on coming up in there original size for some reason on some of them, anybody got any idea why this might be or can recommend another site to upload to in future?
