Hambleton House was built and opened in 1927 as a WH Smith wholesale branch which included news counters, book saloons and top floor cafe popular because of its panorama over Sheffield. It had previously been threatened with demolition following the departure of the Transport Executive after standing derelict since 2009.
One of Sheffield’s most iconic buildings opened to the public for the first time in almost 50 years, so I popped in. The whole building isn't open to the public, so I wandered around the closed parts of the building.

This is not the most exciting building but I've been wanting to go since it closed.

I don't think I could relax in this situation.
