Report - Hammill Brickworks, Kent. September 2012

A quick bit of history : Hammill Brick Ltd operated from this site at Hammill, near Eastry, since opening in June 1927.
The brickworks was built on the site of the old Woodnesborough Colliery, and utilised some of the buildings there, although there have been newer structures added to the site over the years. Three buildings from the Woodnesborough Colliery remain – 2 brick sheds and the engine house. The brickworks closed in 2008.

Second stop of the day and another relaxed mooch around.

Some Nissan huts are on site too looking much the worse for wear

Presumably site hasn't been used for a while

Aaaaah bisto (sorry this is such a crap picture!)

Lots of patterns and stuff around but looks like they are gradually being liberated

Bit of electrical goodness

Quite a big shed once you get inside.

Ahhh shit. I'm always just too late. I went to chartham Lunatic Asylum and that was also gone! Thing is I wanna shoot a music video at night, the track is about a serial killer, so I'm looking for tunnels derelict buildings etc. But it's not easy at all. I'm from folkestone. Don't suppose you have any ideas do you?
