HAA battery close to the Manchester Ship Canal at Moore. Four 1938 pattern gun emplacements in poor condition. Unusual in that it also has local defence in the form of type FW3/23 pillboxes (also that it had guard horses not guard sheep?). Not a lot to see really but this is the special edition version with bonus photos.

The bridge was built to take the heavier weights due to increased transport of nasty stuff in and out of ICI Randle ( ..... MoS Randle chemical weapons site, now demolished ).
