Hello from Cumbria

Hi all. New member here with absolutely no experience of urban exploration.

My partner and I have recently turned 40, our kids have grown up and we're looking for a hobby that we can both get into together.

We live in the arse end of nowhere in Cumbria and are looking for easily accessible places that beginners can get to, preferably with the dog, but that is not essential.

Looking forward to seeing what we can find!

Type Cumbria into the search box. Not many derelict buildings but plenty of mines/quarries - the slate ones are easy and make nice walks.

Some (rather archeological) remains of gunpowder factories as well.
