Hi there!

I've been browsing this site for a while, have always wanted to get into urbex, however none of my friends were interested. Live in Sheffield for 4 years whilst at uni, regret not just jumping in and doing some exploring!

Finished uni and moved back home to King's Lynn, managed to convince a friend to explore RAF West Raynham with me a few weeks back and have been itching to explore more places since! I'll sort through my pictures and get up a report sometime soon.

Came up to Sheffield this week, with no plans. My friend and I decided to give Hallam Towers a go last night, however came unprepared and couldn't get off the ground floor! Maybe next time eh?

I have basic stuff, decent clothing, boots, gloves, respirator, and torch with spares. I think a backpack and rope/ladder are next on the list, any recommendations without breaking the bank?

Any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated, looking forward to delving into some derelict places!

Thanks
Liam

Hi Liam!
I'm in Norfolk at the moment doing some explores, found one in particular that blew me away! Do you drive? The ones I know of are a bit far out from Kings Lynn but are DEFINITELY worth the drive if it's an option for you :) drop me a pm if u wanna swap details and info on anything you might've heard about up this way!

Sorry for my delayed reply!

How long are you in Norfolk for, I'm super busy with work at the moment, should have a lot more free time in a few weeks though if you'll still be here then?

Thanks
Liam

I'm now back in not so sunny Swindon, but will be returning to Norfolk in a matter of weeks as it happens :) keep in touch, look me up when you've got some free time! I can be relatively flexible, be nice to get chatting with some like minded's :) have a good evening!

I currently use my phone camera, which isn't amazing, especially in low light, however I'm not big into photography and can't justify spending money on a decent camera. I realise that's the reason 99% of people explore these places, however I'm more than happy to just explore the place without taking any photos whatsoever. Obviously that's no good if I intend to post anything up on here, but my phone will do the job for that for the time being.

I really should invest in a decent camera, currently I'm just using my iPhone (6s) and it's not the best. Nothing worse than travelling miles to explore an incredible location, taking a million photos, and ending up with only 2 or 3 half decent ones

Hello I'm from Norfolk too. Completely new to this type of thing but wanting to visit some places in Norfolk, Suffolk too. I can drive so getting around is not a problem. I'm ready to start as soon as possible so it would be great to hear from any Norfolk members here soon!
