Such an awesome explore and a good end to the weekend!

Visited with Truffle Pig - Many thanks to you dude for such a great weekend and thanks for letting me stay!:thumb:thumb

For some major history read OT's report here

But to summarise it.. HMS Ryde was built to be a paddle steamer to carry people from Portsmouth to Ryde (along with its sister ship HMS Sandown) but after being launched in 1936 she was converted to a minesweeper for WW2 and then after 2 years became a Anti aircraft ship, until it was returned to passenger service in 1945.

In 1970 she was sold and became a very popular night club and after a fire in 1977 the popularity lessened and she soon closed.

There history lesson over!.

I've never been in anywhere more rotten, you have to walk very very carefully and hope that the floor below you doesn't give way. Its a really sad explore walking round the boat the state of the once beautiful ship :(:(
And since OT and co visited the funnel has collapsed taking alot of floor with it. :(

Photos.. I took alot!.. Sorry!
