i just couldn't wait any longer to do something leg or no leg :D

Clock Tower of former Holly Mount school, erected 1839 by Messrs Whitehead.
Dressed sandstone, Gothic style, rectangular plan, 3 diminishing stages with diagonal buttresses, set-offs at each stage battlements and crocketed pinnacles... clock face at 3rd stage.

Attached at ground level is large decorated datestone (probably formerly a door head), forming a semi-circular arch with raised lettering "1839" and "HOLLY MOUNT SCHOOL" in the head.
above this is a plaque stating that the Old Fold Garden was
the site of the Holly Mount School.
it forms a conspicuous landmark in its locality.
