Firstly, a timeline of what was once a prestigious manor house, then a respected educational establishment - to what is now, er, Hollyoaks village:
c.1728: Childwall Hall built
c.1780: Childwall Hall demolished and rebuilt
c.1801: Childwall Hall redeveloped as a mock mediaeval castle
1821: Childwall Hall becomes home to the Marquessate of Salisbury
1947: Childwall Hall demolished
1955: community college built
1991: site first used for Brookside Parade set
1995: site first used for Hollyoaks set
2003: site first used for Grange Hill set
2008: site exclusively used for Hollyoaks set
I believe the village wall is fake but that 'The Folly' is part of original ruins. Anyway, on with the pics!
Dee Valley Hospital:
Other pics:
Back of The Dog
Pub/garage car park
Esther’s Magic Bean (yes, that's the name of the coffee shop)
Dee Valley Police Station
The Folly
Only got a brief glimpse of the main village area from between the alley where threats take place and the area where dodgy deals go down but didn't want to push my luck so stayed clear!
Thanks for looking
