Background
I take it most of you know the background, since this place has been done to death, but I will give a little anyway. It was built in 1869 for Mr Henry Hoyle Hardman, and had been through multiple changes in it's lifetime. It was originally a home, was later a care home, and finally a wedding venue. The location has the mansion, a modern function room, a gatehouse and most importantly, the car graveyard mainly filled with Jaguars. It was abandoned around 2009.

Explore
Went with two non members, had a really fun time exploring this one. Didn't run into any trouble, and also managed to get inside! Not much in there unfortunately, the place has been stripped of a lot, and there are a lot of unsafe looking floors. The first floor is basically a no go, which was a shame.

In the same day, we also tried St. John the Evangelist Church, got in, but got kicked out immediately by a man with an axe, claiming that there were sensors in there. We also tried The Holme, not realising it had been renovated because there is little information on the Internet about it, and we also briefly tried Burnley Empire Theatre. Only spent about 15 minutes in that place because we did not feel safe in it at all, and the floors look trashed.

Onto the pics!

Presumably a bar in the function room.

This Jag only had about 4000 miles on the clock, and it also had a garden in the seat!

This is probably my most favourite picture from the visit, an old XJ6.

What sort of Urbex post would this be without a chair shot?

The main hall, I wonder how many photographs have been captured in this very place.

Love the artwork in the coving, really shows the age of the mansion.

Spent about 2 hours in the place overall, got two pictures from the Empire theatre too, but they're not worth sharing. If you fancy looking at a few more photos from the visit, you can check out the Flickr album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHskAJnunf
Feel free to give me pointers on my photos or posts, I welcome all critique.

Thanks for looking!

Still not seen the place myself, got told a while ago off someone that it wasn't worth the effort but it doesn't look that bad really, doesn't look amazing but doesn't look as bad as some of the places I've been to

There's not a great deal inside unless you like broken floorboards. The function room doesn't have anything in it either. The best part is definitely outside with all the jags, that's where I spent most of my time.

If you're out on a day, and near I'd say it's worth doing. Access in the building is also fairly simple, so there's no excuses.
