After seeing a recent report of this mill by tattoo26, I thought I'd get some photos of it before it gets demolished (or falls down on its own!)

The mill suffered a serious fire in the early 1900s and was rebuilt as a roller mill, the roller method of milling was much more productive than grinding stones together. It closed in August 1969 although the site was used by Mill Precision Engineering (a light engineering company) in a purpose built workshop opposite the mill.

This would have been where the machinery was, now under the remains of at least two floors and a roof

The mill stream goes right under the middle of the building, (taken through a gap where more sluice gates would have been)
