This was a tour of a derelict hospital in Barcelona with permission.

The Hospital covers many acres of land and inside is extremely beautiful. Current buildings are about 100 years and being converted into a non hospital use. The ideas behind the design to try to stop disease spreading were quite interesting. Based on treating the spirit and the body.

Although not with the edge of a normal report, well worth an authorised explore !

A lot of the interior was tiled from floor to ceiling - this hall was green - soothing

This hallway/stairwell a light yellow beige with ornate tiles

Light and airy rooms

Linking the below ground wards, underground tunnels for services

and light being brought in wherever possible

I was actually treated in this hospital in 2005. Broken ribs and a cracked pelvis sustained by falling down a flight of stairs in an ancient building elsewhere in the city.
