Visited with Raddog, Rookinella and Sick.

Having just seen a couple of reports on this place we decided to investigate for ourselves. Thanks for the access tips.

The first thing we saw was stripped out warehousing and packaging areas...

Things got a little more exciting around the corner when we saw this...

...that, is a bomb.

and from behind...

One more, you wouldn't want to be standing around here when it explodes...

I thought that was quite a significant find, and why nobody had mentioned it before.

Some old pink stairwells, in bad condition...

Then some factory areas...

and onto a roof...

Notices about the closure of the factory...

The strongroom...

and another roof...

and while we were there, another nibbler was delivered. It's coming down...

Re: HP Sauce Factory, Birmingham - 08/07/07 - ARCHIVED

Remember the explosions in this place, and the rubber strips everywhere...

"Gatecrasher" - just saw it on TV, googled it and found this...

Alford Technologies were recently invited to take part in some breaching trials in the old HP Sauce factory in central Birmingham. Armed with some new Gatecrasher Mk4s we were able to get some valuable load data against a range of brick targets. The new Gatecrasher allows users to load charges with sheet explosive and triple brick walls proved no match for the Gatecrasher. A quadruple-brick wall did manage to stop the Gatecrasher, but after initial disappointment, it was discovered that the wall was in fact three layers of brick with a cast concrete layer in the middle! With the right load, even that would have been breached.
