visited with my exploring partner Mr Myagi after passing the building so many times and never seeing anyone post anything on it, i think there may have been a lead and rumour at one point if memory serves me right.
anyway after gaining entry to the place in a somewhat comical fashion we had a nosey round the place and took a variety of shots of the place, the place on a whole has been pikied but not to the extent of some, pretty much intact considering it has been neglected a long while. certain places caution was needed as you can stand out like a sore thumb to all passing but it was a good explore and another in our home town. look out for Mr Myagi's too..
anyway a bit of history if that is what my feeble attempt to actually find any off the web goes. very limited as what i could find other then it was built and opened 50 year ago and served as the central ambulance station for hull and surrounding areas, it closed down a few years ago after it was decided to open 2 new purpose built facilitys one in the east side of hull and one on the west side of hull, Burma drive and the old yankee land site.
The old place is earmarked for part of the new quay west extension for the Princess quay shopping center, but this appears to be on hold.
any further history would be greatly appriciated.
hope you like the pics, here they are......
