The first of the explores me and T-Totaled did over the bank holiday weekend.

Hunter's Scar started out as a jet mine, in some woods inbetween Ayton Banks and Ayton Monument ironstone mines, although it has nothing to do with either. It has since been converted to hold water settling tanks, with piping to serve local dwellings during WW1.

This was our first ever attempt at light painting, and i'm chuffed with the results!

First ever light paint!

Inside, the mine takes a right turn. the ladders up to the previously mentioned trap door are visible:

Beyond the ladder is another tank, the mine continuing beyond, but soon ended. The plank was damp and very weak! (T's foot in the corner)

Past the last tank, the mine banked up but went nowhere.
