Visited with 2 non members as part of a 4 day trip to Belgium along with with Host (who opted to stay in the warmth of the car on this one)
This huge disused coal fired power station is currently being stripped by a gang of metal thieves (Romanian by all accounts)
We managed to run straight into them within a few minutes of finding the turbine halls, they soon became more and more agitated by our presence, gestures about smashed cameras, phones to the ear, and the fact our cameras and tripods were probably no match for their bolt sheers and what looked like stanley knife meant we opted to bail, one was very keen to show us an easy way out but then wanted money for it, he got the sum total of fuck all and we scarpered.
Gutted we didn't get to the control room before having to exit but the turbine halls and cooling tower went some way to making up for it, i would definately return though just for the control room, maybe on another trip......
