From what I understand, this tunnel was used a lot from the late 1800s to the early 1900s as a (direct?) route to Skegness. The tunnel was closed off to the public, however access was gained through a slot cut in the face of metal covering the mouth of the tunnel. No idea why it was closed, unfortunately!

The mouth of the tunnel, massive sheet of corrogated steel. God knows how they got it there.

Access was gained through a hole someone has gas-axed at some point in time. (yes, ladies come urbexing too!)

The tunnel was pretty long, and dark, like all good tunnels. There was a bike frame so the only appropriate thing to do was to throw it.

That's blocked, yep... It was unusually foggy at the other end of the tunnel.

That's about it! Was a bastard to walk to, Covert lane is massive, there is no path, and it was so hot today. Hope you enjoy the report, however!
