Introduction and first report - Medlars scrap yard, norfolk

Hi there just wanted to get started on here as I’ve now gone on a couple of walk abouts around my local area. Already feeling like I’m going to be an addict!

We visited Medlars scrap during the day last month and wasn’t sure what to expect but I was amazed at how much was actually left behind! I’m sure a lot has been lost in time or to vandalism but I was very pleased with what was left!

Being a car lover and abit younger I haven’t seen many of the old vehicles, not only that a couple of the old buildings were great. Light breaking through the old roof tiles add to the effect.

So here’s my view on what I saw walking about, hope you enjoy.

Decent first report. Sadly your prob a bit too late for most of it now. It's slowly been cleared out over the years. They had one big massive clear out last year as I found out and took the last of the best stuff. It's still a decent place though in a nice setting for a wander with plenty of stuff still laying around if you have not been before. This was my last report from autumn and a rundown of what was there.

I had actually seen your report prior to visiting, it was noticeably abit different to when you went. Non the less was a good visit!

Are you mainly exploring Norfolk?

You have got the way of putting up a report ok on here. Someone will prob point out you need to just put a month and year on the title.
Yeah the first half of my report was from autumn so it's basically what you have seen. The second half is from numerous visits over the last nine years to show it's declined.
I am in Norfolk but travel all over the place. I try to do as much as I can in Norfolk though and spend a lot of time exploring it.
Sculthorpe was my first ever explore and been about 12 times ha ha.
