This was a spur of the moment explore. I got alerted of a punk show happening that night in Stoke, so I punched stoke into the search engine and chose J H Weatherby's Pottery as a target for the couple of hours before the gig. Walked over from the train station with my google directions in one hand, and found the place pretty much straight away.

The site isn't in too good a state, but there's so much machinery, and unfinished pottery around it's actually awe inspiring.

It's been visited quite alot in the last few months it seems, so I won't post the history on here, but instead point you in the direction of the following 2 pages which are well worth a look and read.

Unfortunately because I was running out of time and light I skipped the offices at the front of the building. :( But I intend on going back to Stoke and spending a good full day checking out that and a few other sites of interest.
