Jawcraigs Brickworks closed in the 70's and has been left rotting ever since. It proved to be an ideal opportunity for some urban exploration and some photos.
Self portrait
Not sure what this was for, any feedback would be interesting
Deeper in the building were some storage areas, sparsley illuminated by (growing) holes in the roof.
More of the ceiling fans
And another
The furnaces themselves
Industrial decay
Considering it has been abandoned for 30-40 years it is in not bad condition, however it is only accessable by car which would help!
More abandonment
Plenty of old junction boxes around
More electrics
Does not look like much from the outside
Plenty of intrest inside though.....
It is such a grey unlovable building from the outside
Last one
Watching... Waiting....
I liked this one, can you see the face, I think he is smiling
A word of warning, some of the old stairs and walkways are metal and badly rusted- being exposed to the elements, they will collapse at some point, just make sure it is not when you are standing on them.
A really good explore, easy parking outside and no security, it is several miles out of town so only accessable by car.
Thank you for reading, this is my first post, hope to post a few more, please leave feedback!
