Hello everybody,

I am Lone Shadow from Northampton and this is my first ever report.
Just an introduction about me; I am quite new to the game but not afraid of a challenge.
So far I tend to explore all alone; this is normally my style anyway.

I arrived at the rubber factory on a hot Sunday afternoon.
I firstly scoped out the site to look for a way in.
I could not believe how easy it was to enter the site and there is absoloutley no security whatsoever
I entered alone.

All I know about the site itself is that the John Bull Rubber factory was opened in around 1906
and that they made several rubber products including car tyres, pram wheels and various other rubber products.
My aim was to try and find out when the factory actually closed down.

The site was completley and utterly trashed, thousands of shards of broken glass lay on floors
certain hallways had pigeon droppings alomst 3 inches thick, but I was on the lookout for some interesting outdated items.

I guess an old employee of the rubber factory kicked a door in frustration of being made redundant, lol.

See what I mean about the pigeon poop? Honestly, take a pair of hiking boots to wade through this.

The grand staircase, I can just imagine this as part of the original building, it looks very antique.

Now this is what I am talking about! Computers used to look like this back in the early 1990's!

This was my find of the day without a doubt... A diary that dates back to January 1999!

Came across an office that still had pictures of the owner's kids... I mean, how do you leave an office and forget something like that???

I was at the site for around 90 mins and it was absolutley enormous.
I would thoroughly enjoy going back for some more photos.
There is is still so much more to see.

One thing I would always tell anybody planning on going in here.
Choose your path wisely, getting out of the building is not always the easiest of things to do.

Regards
Lone Shadow.
