Originally built as a private residence, The Josephine Butler Memorial House, Liverpool, affiliated to the Anglican Archbishops' Advisory Board for Preventive and Rescue Work, was set up in 1920 in association with the University of Liverpool to train women as professional administrators in the field of social welfare, in accordance with the reforming principles of Josephine Butler's work. It offered, from a succession of premises in the city, one year social work courses, or the two year full Social Science course of the University of Liverpool, with which the House was always closely associated. Continuous financial struggles and the gradual evolution of professional social services made the House (later Josephine Butler College) unviable. The last students finished their courses in 1972.

For any details on how to get in, or wanting to go on an exploration with us either message me or reply to this thread :)

Awesome report! Thinking of going here on Thursday. Is it worth it? What’s access like? Security?

Its a cool building wouldn't travel too far it isnt worth more than say 1 hour travel, but no security and access is pretty easy just walk around and youll fine it, not saying how to get in but just check most doors you never know. Only thing to be careful about is obviously police and sometimes kids going there messing around but its a nice building with areas for potential photoshoots and video shoots :) anymore questions just hmu. Safe exploring !
