The King’s Hall was built in 1916 and was designed by architect Sir Alfred Gelder of Hull. The King’s Hall building has a 3-storey red brick and stone facade. It was operated by the Uxbridge and Southall Wesleyan Mission and it was soon screening religious films.

By 1926, it was operating as a 1500 seat single screen cinema, still managed by the Methodist church.

The King’s Hall Cinema was closed in 1937. It then reverted back to a Methodist Church use as the King’s Hall Methodist Church. They vacated the building in January 2013.

This was a place that had me foaming at the mouth for months. I tried several times already and so felt 'that relief' when we finally got in. Thank's Mr G for the company. This place did not disappoint.

I think I may be retiring from this hobby now and I managed to bash up my knee again, and am on crutches once more. I'm too old for this I think.

This has been done many times, so rather thank posting the usual angles, I have gone for views not posted here, including the fantastic space between the dome and the outer roof. The stairs going up over the top of the dome looked interesting but I felt this was 1 risk too far.

Well done for getting it done!!

That odd loft space is quite interesting! We didn't see that at all!

That boxed in passage up and over is calling out to me, was it access to a winch or sunburner perhaps? As the timber work is supported by steels it should be substantial however there could well be rotten timbers. There has obviously been a lot of water penetration seeing how much of the dome plaster has come away from other report views. (It is mostly intact between the two windows which aren't glazed beyond, it looks like you can see one of them to the right half way up the passage view).

The covers to the dome windows intrigue me, they look like they are frosted glass and possibly painted over from cinema use but you wouldn't want to open and close them every day as the boarding is somewhat precarious.

Yes, you could see a winch up the top, so I think the main purpose of the passage was for lowering the central light fitting for cleaning/repair. I just didnt want to risk it though.
The window half way up the passage is just an equal height one to the others in the other space.
That was normal glazing, we opened them up to let more light into the main hall. They were plain glass on the dome winodows but just look frosty from the the healthy covering of bird crap.
