Hall Garth Community Arts College and King's Manor School

Attendance: Horus, AJ

Visited on 2 occasions, Middlesbrough lived up to its name by keeping things tight, checked the entire School for a way in but it was looking like a fail, just when thought we will be going home we found an access, which I was quite glad as iv been keeping an eye on this place for months.

Bit of History of Kings Manner as that was the most place we explored...

King's Manor Specialty Sports School is a secondary school in Acklam, Middlesbrough, England. It is situated on Hall Drive and is next to Hall Garth Performing Arts School; the two schools will merge in 2010. The new school will combine both Performing Arts and Sports specialties. Hall Garth, being the least occupied, will move staff and pupils into the King's Manor buildings. The school is also close to St David's School and Acklam Grange School.

The school is currently in National Challenge as it consistently struggles to achieve more than 30% of students gaining 5 A to C grades at GCSE. Its neighboring school, Hall Garth, is in the same situation.

The school has funded the building of a school in Cameroon and remains in touch, allowing pupils from the schools to interact as pen pals.

The schools are getting closed to create one big school called Oakfields Community College

History

Oakfields Community College is A New Multi-Million Pound Arts And Sports College in Acklam, Middlesbrough with effect as from September 2010 with the new building opening in September 2012 as part of Middlesbrough's £100 million Building Schools for the Future scheme.

The school is run by the Endeavour Educational Trust - a partnership between Macmillan Academy, Teesside University and Middlesbrough College.

Oakfields Community College replaced Hall Garth Community Arts College and King's Manor School in Hall Drive, Acklam.

The new school will open across the two sites in September 2010 with a brand new school building opening in 2012.

It is being built as part of Middlesbrough Council's £100 million Building Schools for the Future programme.

The new school building will accommodate 1,350 pupils aged from 11 to 16.

It will include new classrooms, a performance hall, sports hall and large central atrium.

The grounds will have new landscaping, play areas, a dedicated cycle route and pedestrian footpaths.

There is also a proposed multi-use games area with flood lighting and playing fields in the position of the existing school buildings.

Looks cool. Is this place still accessible ?

Of course it will be exactly the same. nothing changes in nearly 3 years !

As this is an open Forum that anyone & his Dog (including you) can access ;) you don"t ask for access details OK
