the final viewing of our excursion was Langdon Hole Deep Shelter. The shelter was built for the Second World War and you can just about see France in the distance! France seems to be invading England through the airwaves as my mobile thought I was there saying I was using a French mobile network.

Anyway, the Deep Shelter was perhaps for me the highlight of the day. Seeing the wartime bunkers that people used during the War and previous reports made me always wanted to visit this site. For me, although fairly small, lived up to it's expectations. You can just imagined it being crammed full of civilians during bombing!

The Langdon Hole Deep Shelter place is full of asbestos as you can see some of the asbestos lining on the wall - so if you are concerned better bring a mask.
