Another hydro plant, this time on a fairly grand scale. I haven’t seen many photos from here and was very pleased by the decay, lack of vandalism and scale.

The water for this plant ran underneath the turbine hall, turning the large turbines that you can see. There were a number of large holes that dropped directly into this very fast running water… instant death.

The buildings were dug into the side of a hill, hence the rather impressive retaining structures which made a great pattern and probably was one of my favourite things about the plant… apart from the big metal snail of course.
