This is a combination of two visits here one from early this year if i remember rightly where we had to make a sharp exit upon a nice man telling us on a tannoy there was a security breach and we should wait for assistance. the second later on in the year after demolition had started.
This bus depot was closed in 2007 and is now awaiting planning for apartments to be built in the site. The original edwardian building was opened in may 1904 to run the citys tram service. motorised buses arrived in 1925. the bus station was operated by leicester city bus co from 1982, and in 1968 at the businesses height 263 veichles were based here. a fire destroyed most of the site in 1999.
