Stumbled across this one whilst on our way to another place, was surprised we got access fairly easily.
Built in 1859, was part of a huge asylum but now this and one other building are the only ones to remain, the other due for demolition any day but this one is grade 2 listed.
Now only inhabited by pigeons which did scare me at first as there are so many I actually thought someone else was in the building, but sadly there are also rather alot of dead ones aswell .....
It is an interesting huge place, mostly natural decay rather than vandalism which is nice, a few fire places but nothing else inside, does feel a little creepy but possibly that is the height of the huge ceilings and lack of light, but it is reportedly haunted.
