I had gone here initially to have a look at the building next door but had no joy with that! But then I spotted this place and got all ninja again; I got some great shots and was happy until I got home to find waterdrops had blurred every shot (It was raining a little)

So I returned today during better weather; I have no idea of the history of this place, it is set back from the waterfront and has no signs or strewn paper work to state its' identity. But I loved what I saw, especially the overhead cranes and set to getting these shots:

Buffers for assembly lines?

Long shot and gantry crane:

Tiny Tanker!

Central gantry crane:

Another long shot - this place was Huge and had some rabbits living in it!

Control pod!

Hook and weight calculation!

Pulley Motors!

High shot from crane:

More workings!

In other words - Mind yer head! This entire assembly rolls.

Made in Manchester! The date states 1947!

One of four switches that control the crane!

The full cabin!

Really like that makers plate :)

Would've been nice to see this place a good few years ago
