My first attempt at urban exploring! While my girlfriend was working I decided to head off and do a bit of exploring.
The Llanberis bomb shelter is just off the main road to Snowdon, a former slate quarry was used from 1939 until 1942. In 1942 the roof collapsed due to the weight. It was used until 1969, albeit only the open area, with the collapsed galleries abandoned.
Entry was easy, although I climbed over the fence, when I could have just walked through the gate. Unfortunately once your in all the tunnels have been blocked off or have massive locks attached to them.
