A small bit of history and some links first...

The Llanfyllin Union Workhouse was built in 1838-40 and is situated in beautiful surroundings about ¼ mile outside Llanfyllin, Mid-Wales, 20 miles west of Shrewsbury and the M54. It is typical of institutions built under the Poor Law Amendment Act of 1834, though architecturally it is unusually distinguished as few workhouses have survived in such an original condition.

but mainly here...

It's quite a confusing building, access to one wing is from upstairs only, and it's really rotten. Only some of the bad wood has been cut out. This was probably due to these areas being open to the public either during its time on BBC Restoration or maybe the festival that was held there.

Anyway, here's some pictures...

In the 'hub' we found this, the old key board...

Also in the hub were several very active bats, in fact throughout the building there were quite a few... I hate bats... I am now known as BatBenny.
