Llangwyfan Hospital is 10 minutes out of Denbigh, so provided a perfect excuse to recce the asylum at the same time.

Crazy weather hampered plans, however got a few shots that were different to georgies.
A brief history: Founded 1920. Closed 1981. Originally a tuberculosis hospital. Main buildings part of a care home complex, however abandoned nurses quarters remain. Evidence of a main hall, dining room and offices in first few pics. Couldn't find much history online.
Think I've mastered this pic-size thing now!
My first view after a trek over some fields.
Inside the first building.
Saw this on the floor. Some sort of urinal? No idea.
Comfy.
Random office furniture.
A room with a view. Due for a lick of paint.
Spooky.
I was made up with this beauty.
Wouldn't be happy if I was taking a bath and people wanted to play table football.
Corridor connecting buildings. Dead end.
Window cleaner required.
A hall of some sort.
Sticker says 1981...the year the hospital was closed.
Nature reclimation.
Dining hall.
In the kitchen.
Between the two 'clusters' of buildings was this.
Retro.
In the nurses quarters.
That ended my time at Llangwyfan. I have put up a fraction of the interesting stuff that I saw. A nice and relaxed explore and good fun.
I had some time to kill so I also visited Denbigh Asylum on a recce. Thanks to George for helpful advice.
A fun day. Will return to Denbigh soon to do the compulsory asylum report.
