Words and Pictures by the “Stooges†Captain Jack, Moss Man and Lopez
We should have accepted the fact that there was a police SUV parked at the front door as a bad omen, but no the Stooges forge blindly on to return when the cruiser has gone. A quick manipulation of the door lock gets us quickly into a violent ward that has yet to be penetrated by exploring eyes. As we hastily pull the door closed the lock bolt slams home and we all look into each others eyes in disbelief as we are now locked in and the lock is not accessible from the inside. I've had a few tense moments in these places, but at that very moment, I felt fear, a sinking feeling that we had finally gotten ourselves into something very unpleasant. This place was locked up very tightly at ground level and every room we searched revealed no way out. As we reached the basement level our flashlights began failing one by one; even with new batteries the lights winked in and out. Eventually we found a way out but hearing that bolt close was pretty unsettling.
The Violent Ward:
Looking out the barred window, we realize we are trapped:
The basement uncovers questionable treatment of patients:
This treatment room where the “patients†head protruded through a hole in the wall was something my group had never encountered. The slab had waterlines running all beneath it and your head protruded though the wall for some unknown reason. The room was completely lined with tile and the classic cube window blocks:
As we canvas the basement of horrors, the temperature seems to be dropping:
The upper floors reveal more evidence of violent tendencies:
As we begin to contemplate of fate, things are grim for a moment or two:
What have we gotten into and who pulled that door completely shut?
