Funny how some sections are almost dry.

I'm also always surprised at how vulnerable the fibre backbones are.
Yup, makes you wonder. 'tis a good thing your average vandal hasn't discovered drains yet. They do spoil the looks as well since they just don't add anything to Victorian brickwork do they?

I quite like them to be honest, they're a testament to the construction our Victorian bredwin used, that almost 200 years later we're still re-purposing their handy work. Even under the flow of a heavily expanded population they still hold their ground.
