Report - Long Marston Airfield august 2015

i am new to this site so please be nice Ive been going to this airfield for the last 12months to see the Dragracing and finally last month i got round to exploring the planes ive admired on every visit. The access is free to all 3 planes in that there are no security guards and fences, however this means the locals have been partying in The smaller plane particularly. The shackleton as far as i can see hadNt been treated so badly but is none the less in a very sad state. i was a little unprepared on this visit will hopefully manage to go back and ill try and get a look inside the shackleton next time

Look at the state of those planes now. And to think the spotters had the nerve to give us shit about going there. Good work leaving the plane to get destroyed.

I understand from the Shackleton facebook group, someone has being brave enough to take it on. As You'll see from the pictures the two inner griffon engines have being removed.
