Hey everyone,
I’m planning a trip to Mauritania around Summer Next year with the main goal of Surfing the Iron Ore Train. Im 18 Years male and from Germany.
I’m looking for 1,2,3 or 4 like-minded, self-sufficient travel partners to team up for the logisitics, share costs where applicable (e.g., transport etc.), and tag along for the ride.
I’m well aware of the conditions and will come fully prepared with proper gear (goggles, respirator, warm clothing, bivvy bag).
If you’re planning to be in Mauritania around that time or are interested in joining forces, drop a comment or send me a DM!

Its a tourist attraction nowadays, as its one of the few reasons anyone actually goes there, you won't have any issues. Id love to try some real train surfing maybe somewhere in eastern Europe... one day

Yeah i know, but its still possible to surf. There are two wagons that are for tourists, but the rest of the train still exists, with the iron ore.
