According to an 1893 journal the business was built on the site of a previous works founded in 1758.
Elijah Cotton opened a new factory 'Nelson Pottery' (1885)and also took over 'The Victoria Works' - both in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Lord Nelson Pottery was a trade name used by Elijah Cotton Ltd

This place has been going to hell in a handbasket for several years as developers chip away at it. Not much left to see now unfortunately

Only if you haven't actually looked at his pictures. Bit daft to use such a retort without checking if it is going to land.

On a more helpful note, I would suggest taking a look at the FAQ section and the hints for new members. This isn't the place for overly edited pictures and they will result in sarcasm at the least. You also need to include an month/year of visit to your title, as per forum rules.
