Quick stop at this place, we spotted it in the distance after a failed attempt at EDF Centrale power station, looks like it's some kind of tourist attraction now with spot lights all around to light it up at night, the ladders and stairwell have been cut off but with a bit of ingenuity it's still accessible, rusted to fook in parts and in broad daylight with sec in the grounds we didn't stay too long, an interesting site and would have liked to spend a bit longer and try to get higher up the structure.
Lorfonte - Uckange Steel forge
After 100 years the last blast furnance was shut down and the curtain fell for "Haut Fourneau" Lorfonte Uckange. Blast furnace N°4 is still there today and so are some auxiliary buildings. In the years that passed since it shut down not that much has changed. The metal is rusting and plants are growing where they shouldn't grow while some things are vandalized, but basically everything is still where it was.
