The station is owned by the same company as Wallescote Soda Ash works, and is on a semi live site. The station is made up of a boiler house and a turbine house, joined by an elevated brick walkway.
Parts of the building are being flooded by steam from the live side of the plant, making the steel work look like something from a sunken ship! I was thrilled to see two turbines still in situ, along with all the associated pipework and boilers. The plant was simply boarded up and forgotten about! A cracking explore!
