Here some info:
Because of the health promoting surroundings, this hospital-complex was erected in this resort rich of woods and lakes. The start of the building was in 1905 and in 1908 it was finished. The buildings were the first buildings in pavilion-style and it has been an example for many erected buildings to follow. The complex existed of many buildings for several purposes: There are 8 buildings to nurse patience’s: 4 for men and 4 for women. There are several residents for the doctors and other personal. A building for the management and administration, a building for central heating and electric power it also has a watertower and houses workplaces for technical services. There is a building for the laundrysevices and a building that hosts a central kitchen together with a with a (movie-) theater. There is also a morgue and a graveyard. In this complex psychiatric patients were treated. During World War I, it was used as a back-up for wounded army personnel. In the years of economic crises to follow the great war, the hospital was closed. When the Russians army occupied the area in 1945, the complex reopend and served as a hospital for the Red army until 1993 when the Russian forces left Eastern Germany. Nowadays, the buildings are considered to be monuments and official protected as that. A part of the complex is used for psychiatric treatment again.
