This was a return visit, to show some pals the location following a morning tab around a certain nearby Colliery. Believed to have been used as an ammo depot for an Anti-aircraft Battery during WW2 then later utilised for training purposes, including Army Cadets and the TA. The site has three concrete magazines separated by earth traverses.

This was the main anti aircraft and LAA ammunition storage site for the Dover area during WW2 and was used in conjunction with the distribution depot located at the top of Lydden Hill on the A2 which is now a HGV storage yard. I've attached a 1940 aerial view.

Just be aware this is still a 'live' MOD training site and is used by the TA for training exercises so keep 'em peeled before entering.
