I won’t go into the History or a write up of events because @EOA has done a great job with all of that in his thread here:

It was my first time down a mine. It was bloody amazing. We had a top day out and it was great to meet @EOA again and also to meet @monk and his daughter Jess, who we excellent guides for the day.

Anyway onto my poto’s

Second to last photo taken from atop the engine house wall (I guess) showing the incline is a beauty. Also good to see that the floor hasn't completely gone from the drum house...but sad to see that the whole building continues to deteriorate :-(

Glad someone finally snapped a picture of our rescued carts! We hauled these carts from a flooded section around the corner at the bottom of the main incline (back left of your photo) to give them a new lease of life. We were wondering when the first photos would appear online!

Looks good. They also weigh a tonne.

Thats awesome!

We only noticed that incline (the one with the helmet at the top) on our way out. There was that and the other shaft going down at the far end. We didnt manage to get down to them levels this time.

Do you have a map of the place? Some blokes down there said they had the plans but stupidily we never bothered to chat to them long enough to think of asking.

Its a lovey mine and im sure it’s like a maze in places. We just followed and stuck to the tracks predominantly.

Yeah the place is very big. I do have a map but unfortunately it's not mine to share. Reading off it now, the mine goes from Mill level (adits at the top of the main incline) down 11 floors with about 60 chambers across in total. Picture 13 in your report is of Incline 31, so you are 31 chambers across the total of 60.

I have literally started my new fitness regime ready for the return visit up the mountain!

Definitely a weekend visit next time. There must be tonnes of interesting stuff down there.

To give you an idea of the extent of the place, there is a snapshot of a really shitty representation (really don't use this for nav, loads of detail missing) of the chambers at 1:22 here:
Inclince 31 is right on the boundary of the lake in that snapshot. So there loads of chambers under and on the other side of the lake. Gives you a good idea of how big it is.
