Casemate Hardt South was the next one down the same road to Sierentz and is hidden in thick woodland. It had two machine guns and two anti tank guns, there is also a Nickel/Chrome steel GFM called a bell and would have a MG and a persicope in the top. The lager bunkers are steel lined.

I think the abris and blockhouses are massively overlooked. Nice one mate.

Thanks. There is an artillery blockhouse in Sierentz that I may be able to get into and another at Uffheim that has been restored. I quite like the fixed MG positions they are really difficult to spot just a letter box in the undergrowth, then trying to find the entrance tunnel to get inside.

I will post some pics of the restored bunker. The guys there were really good and explained some of the unusual features and how the bunker guns did not face the advancing enemy so could not be subject to direct fire, but faced sideways and protected the bunker on either side. Going to find some artillery bunkers in the next couple of weeks, will post the pics.
