March 2011 Jos and I have visit this flour *mill
Here some info:
The history of this mill is an another sample for the industrial revolution. First a simple watermill started at this place in 1346. From then it developed into a combination of a grain mill and a sawmill in 1873. After a fire in 1888 the grain mill was renewed and provided with a steam engine. The mill was at a central place and provided a good connection by boot and train. This made the business successful and in 1939 some 42 m high grain silos were added to this complex. After 1945 decline started. The sawmill was overtaken by the communist state and The grain mill was adopted by a communist production society (Landdwirdschaftliche Productionsgenossenschaft) . it closed in 1966. But soon an another agricultural organization takes over management. Never the less the mill is unused since 1991. The sawmill between 2004 and 2011 the sawmill is demolished
