Thought I would stick a few pics up of this one as its my most local post. The post is located in a nice location at the edge of the villiage. It had a very short operational life, being built in 1966 and closing in 1968. It is now used by the Leicestershire Repeater Group and is securely locked.
The aircraft post was in a different location on a high outcrop, which offers fantastic views on a clear day. Im sure I can remember exploring it when I was younger, but I didn't know what it was at the time! However the area is now a nature reserve, and the post has been destroyed!
